Building ChaMpions
Beyond The Belt

Our Vision

Self-defense and confidence are incredibly important parts of the sport, but we believe that martial arts extends much further than just the mat. Living in integrity and service to others builds a community that loves and supports each other through everything.

Leadership Program is an advanced training program for Songahm Taekwondo students that focuses on personal development and leadership skills, such as goal-setting, confidence, and public speaking, in addition to accelerated martial arts training and community service opportunities. The program builds character through the six core life skills of belief, discipline, communication, respect, self-esteem, and honesty, preparing students for leadership both in their martial arts journey and in their broader communities.

This is a specialized program created exclusively for children ages 7 through 12 and teaches the fundamentals of martial arts. The foundation of the Martial Arts Kids curriculum is the education and development of life skills such as discipline, respect, and self-esteem. With those life skills, students gain a positive mental attitude, learn to set goals and gain confidence in themselves.

The ATA Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool-age children ages 4 through 6 and is designed to be accessible to students of all abilities and genders. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. This curriculum should provide students with the most fun and exciting training methods available for this age group.

Our Little Sparks program is a fun parent‑and‑me martial arts class designed for ages 2–4, keeping Mom or Dad involved every step of the way as little ones explore movement, confidence, and early Taekwondo skills. Children practice important early‑learning habits like listening, following simple instructions, and staying focused through fun, goal‑based activities. Each class builds physical abilities—jumping with both feet, stepping up, running and stopping, balancing on one foot, and kicking a ball—while also nurturing social skills such as taking turns, putting things away, counting to ten, and using respectful responses like “Yes, Sir!” or “Yes, Ma’am!” And of course, they get an exciting introduction to Taekwondo with basic self‑defense, beginner kicks and punches, and safe, age‑appropriate weapons training.
